The Young Plant Producer of the Year has an awards dinner event to celebrate the end of the two-day event.
The dinner gives finalists an opportunity to meet sponsors, NZPPI members and other people working in plant production.
The event also includes the final challenge to determine the overall winner: each finalist gives a speech on the year’s chosen topic.
The winner of Young Plant Producer of the Year then goes on to represent the plant production industry at the Young Horticulturalist of the Year competition held in Auckland each November.
